Destiny’s latest patch mined for new details on what might be coming in House of Wolves

Bungie released a new update for Destiny earlier today, and it didn’t take long for players to dig into the new patch (version 1.1.2) to mine new details on upcoming changes and learn more about next month’s House of Wolves expansion.

According to a roundup on Reddit, it looks like Bungie plans to add two new social spaces (Queen’s Bay in the Reef and Halls of Amentet), at least one new strike against the Fallen, three story missions, three quests and three new Crucible maps. A raid is listed, but Bungie has already announced that it won’t ship a new raid in House of Wolves. Instead, it looks like The Prison of Elders, a new cooperative battle arena, will serve as a replacement of sorts for the expansion’s endgame content.

The post in the Destiny subreddit also includes mention of a new multiplayer map set on Phobos, one of Mars’ moons, and dozens of new ship schematics.

More details and descriptions of each strike are available on Reddit, and it appears that many of those details line up with previous leaks and data mining efforts. However, Bungie has warned curious Destiny players in the past that “anything you know about [House of Wolves] can change.” The only aspects of House of Wolves that Bungie has confirmed are that the expansion will include The Prison of Elders and Trials of Osiris, as well as upgrade paths for existing legendary and exotic gear.

The House of Wolves expansion will be released on May 19. The add-on’s prologue trailer can be seen below.
