Dissidia Final Fantasy will get an arcade release in Japan

Dissidia Final Fantasy, the 2008 fighting game for PlayStation Portable, will be getting an arcade release in Japan, Square Enix announced at this weekend’s Japanese Amusement Expo. Its trailer is above.

Dissidia Final Fantasy, which launched in the west in 2009, pit characters drawn from the Final Fantasy canon against one other in a three-dimensional fighting space. This video showcases three-on-three battles and remastered graphics for the arcade update.

No word on whether this portends a console (or PS Vita) remaster for Dissidia Final Fantasy, or even if that would be released in the west.
