LG announces this curved, 34-inch monitor tailor-made for gamers

A new 34-inch UltraWide desktop monitor designed with gamers in mind will be introduced by South Korean gadget company LG during next week’s CES 2015 in Las Vegas, The Verge reports.

The big 21:9 display monitor integrates support for AMD’s FreeSync which gets rid of screen tears that can rear their head when your monitor and graphics card are out of sync. LG is calling this one of its best displays yet, and is promising unrivaled color accuracy based on the UltraWide’s IPS panel, the ability to output 99 percent of the sRGB color gamut and 178 degree viewing angles.

The company will also launch a flat version of the monitor: The UM67, which keeps the curved monitor’s FreeSync tech and 21:9 resolution.

Despite the gamer-intensive technology, LG is also aiming its new monitors at weirdly enough stock traders. These new monitors can actually be stacked together, which LG believes could be of good use for those dealing with market tickers every day.
