Capcom landed in hot water when, despite prior advertising that promised the feature, the first episode for the PC edition of Resident Evil Revelations 2 launched with no local offline cooperative mode. Well, a modder has FTFY.
The mod (and instructions) are available here, and there are some limitations: There’s no Raid Mode, and it only supports gamepad play.
On Wednesday, a day after the first episode’s launch, Capcom apologized on the game’s Steam page, saying the listing of local offline cooperative play on the PC version was “an unintentional error.”
“The feature wasn’t intended for this version and that caveat was mistakenly omitted from the product description on the Steam page earlier, and then included as soon as we were made aware,” Capcom said.
Capcom pulled offline co-op play from the PC edition to improve its stability across different PC configurations in other modes of play.
