Mortal Kombat X crowns its first eSports champion

Mortal Kombat X hasn’t yet launched but it already has its first champion.

Dominique McLean — who goes by the handle cR|Sonic Fox — steamrollered the field at the eSports League’s Mortal Kombat X Fatal 8 tournament yesterday. Malik “MIT” Terry took second, with double-defending EVO Mortal Kombat champion Carl “Perfect Legend” White finishing third.

You can view all of the Fatal 8 here — it’s nearly four hours of gameplay for Mortal Kombat X, which launches on Tuesday for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
